1967 King 45: James Crawford – I’ll Work it Out/Fat Eddie 1

Beautiful sweet soul with vocals and a funky instrumental on the other side from JB sideman and recording artist James Crawford. James Brown on production. A yellow King promo copy here.

Some nice Crawford info isĀ here.

This is a very good single. I have this on file, mine is the original blue store stock copy. “Fat Eddie” also appeared in stereo on James’ “Thinking About Little Willie John And A Few Nice Things” LP of late 1968. I think the A-side was on the “Show Of Tomorrow” album.

I’d always thought that Crawford was a great singer, it’s too bad that there was never an entire album issued on him.
