JB’s first hit in the top 10 pop charts. Funk hits the mainstream as a solid musical statement. Some people claim that this is the first funk song, but I hear funk sprinkled all over in JB and his band’s music before this. To me his song Think is funky cause the chorus on the ONE, and that was 1960. What do you think? In what jam does funk appear first?
